๐ŸŒฟ Releasing and Letting Go Ritual ๐ŸŒฟ

โœจ Purpose of this ritual:

To release emotional baggage, old patterns, relationships, or situations that no longer serve your highest good, and to open yourself to healing and new beginnings.

1. Sacred Preparation

Timing: Perform this ritual during the waning moon phase (after the full moon) for strongest effect, or on a sunset to symbolize endings.

Space: Choose a quiet, private space. Cleanse it with incense (sandalwood, frankincense, or sage) or with a bowl of saltwater placed nearby.

Tools Needed:

  • A white candle (for purity and healing)
  • A black or dark blue candle (for banishment and release)
  • A bowl of water (symbol of emotional healing)
  • A piece of paper and pen

Crystals (optional): Smoky quartz, amethyst, or obsidian for deep clearing.


2. Centering and Invocation

Sit comfortably.

Close your eyes and breathe deeply for a few minutes, inhaling peace and exhaling tension.

Visualize roots growing from your spine deep into the earth, grounding you.

Say aloud:

“I call upon the Highest Light, the Sacred Earth, and the Wisdom within.
May I now release all that binds me to pain, fear, or stagnation.
I open my heart to healing, to peace, and to my soul’s freedom.”


3. Writing the Release
On your paper, write everything you wish to release. Be honest, raw, and unfiltered.

Examples:
“I release the fear of failure.”
“I let go of resentment towards (personโ€™s name).”
“I release the habit of self-doubt.”

As you write, infuse each word with intention and finality, like carving your decision into the paper.


4. Fire Ceremony: Transforming the Energy
Light both the white and black candles.

Hold the paper and say:

“With gratitude for the lessons learned, I now set you free.
I reclaim my energy.
I call back my power.
I open to my true self.”

Carefully burn the paper using the black candleโ€™s flame, and drop the ashes into the bowl of water.

As the paper dissolves, visualize your burdens dissolving, too.


5. Water Blessing
Stir the ashes gently into the water.

Whisper:

“Washed away, dissolved, transmuted into the light.
I am free. I am whole. I am new.”

Dispose of the water outdoors if possible, returning it to nature with a simple thanks.


6. Closing the Ritual
Spend a few moments in silence, feeling the new space within you โ€” vast, clear, and open.

Blow out the black candle first (representing the end).

Then blow out the white candle (representing completion and blessing).

Conclude by saying:

“It is done. I step forward unburdened, guided by light and love.”

Bath Ritual: Afterward, take a salt bath infused with lavender or rose oil.

Journal Reflection: Write about how you feel and what you are opening yourself up to now.

Crystal Meditation: Hold a smoky quartz or amethyst in your hand for a few minutes to absorb residual energies and further stabilize your aura.
